A major part of our personal care and beauty kit are hair products, in which shampoos top the list. I remember my elders telling how limited they were in terms of choosing what to use to keep their hair clean and healthy. Even some told they used soaps which were essentially for body only. But instead they used natural and homemade things like yoghurt, eggs, variety of oils and, in cases, vinegar as well to wash their hair.
Today is a changed scenario, as we have a wide range of shampoos which come with all these various natural products included into the formula. They are customized so much now that for every type of hair, there is a shampoo on the shelf. But how would you know what actually is the difference between the different colored shampoo bottles we are made to choose from?
Researchers from Department of Pharmacy, Galgotias University, India, have published a detailed study on various shampoo types for you in their research paper, Advancement in Shampoo (A Dermal Care Product): Preparation Methods, Patents and Commercial Utility, published in Recent Patents on Inflammation & Allergy Drug Discovery.
