European Institute of Oncology, Italy
The European Institute of Oncology started its activity in 1994 as a non-profit comprehensive cancer centre, active in three areas: clinic, research and training. The therapeutic approach for each patient at the Institute is discussed at weekly meetings attended by all the clinical divisions involved in the treatment process. The therapeutic choices and the treatment plans are signed jointly by the physicians from the various disciplines handling the case. This guarantees that the patients receive the best treatment available.
Educational and Research Institute University, India
It was founded by A.C. Shanmugam under Thai Moogambigai Dental College. They were established in 1987 and 1991 respectively. These two colleges were made into constituent colleges of Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute University, by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and the University Grants Commission.
India’s Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has a specialized service Unit for Research and Development of Information Products (URDIP) which is involved in the pre-research and pre-development phase of the research projects by providing intellectual property and techno-commercial information services.
URDIP provides value added information services to wide array of clients including start-up companies, SMEs, Research Institutes within and outside CSIR, large Indian Corporate and Multinational Corporations. It’s primary clients include R&D, legal, new business development and mutifunctional corporate teams.
The Library of Beijing Sport University, China
The library of Beijing Sport University was founded in 1953 and the building was built in 1984 with a construction area of 6,000 square meters and over 1100 seats. There are now 31 regular employees working in 5 major departments as well as Olympic Library & Information Center, Novelty Search Workstation of Ministry of Education (in preparation), Chinese Olympic Committee Anti-doping Information Center and He Zhenliang (former Vic-president of IOC) and Olympic Book Reservation Department.
The library contains over 970,000 books, 500,000 electronic books and 20 databases. The library has established cooperative relationship in resource sharing with over 80 domestic university libraries and obtained membership of CALIS and BALIS.
Ain Shams University, Egypt
Ain Shams University, as the third Egyptian university, was founded in July 1950 under the name of “Ibrahim Pasha University”. It participated with the two earlier universities, “Cairo University” (Fua’d the 1st ) and “Alexandria University” (Farouk the 1st) in fulfilling the message of universities and meeting the increasing demand of youth for higher education. When it was first established, Ain Shams University comprised a number of distinguished faculties and academic institutes, which were later developed into university.
