The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens usually referred to simply as the University of Athens (UoA), is a public university in Athens, Greece. It has been in continuous operation since its establishment in 1837 and is the oldest higher education institution of the modern Greek state and the first contemporary university in the Eastern Mediterranean. Today it is the biggest university in Europe, with more than 104,000 registered students, according to the 2014 university data sheet. In 2012 it was ranked in the positions 501–550 among the best universities in the world, according to the index of QS World University Rankings, as well as according to the evaluation of Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU).
Institute of Biostructures and Bioimaging, National Research Council, Italy
The Institute of Biostructure and Bioimaging, with its headquarters in Naples and locations in Catania, Rome and Turin is a translational research centre that utilizes knowledge on the biological basis of diseases, and on proteins implicated in human diseases to develop new tools for prevention, diagnosis, and more targeted therapies. To accomplish the mission, there are more than 70 researchers with expertise in medicine, biology, chemistry, physics and computer science. The researchers studying biomolecules from a structural/functional standpoint, interface with clinical scientists and experts in preclinical/clinical in vivo imaging who investigate models of diseases in animals and subsequently diseases in humans.

The Main Library of the Medical University of Warsaw gathers various library materials and makes them available to the students, University employees and the public.
In a four-story building, neighboring with the Rectorat building and the Didactic Center, the students and employees have at their disposal modern, spacious and fully-computerized libraries and reading rooms. The Library building houses: Students Library, the Main Reading Room, Journals Reading Room and Multi-Media Internet Reading Room. Students preparing to their histology or anatomy exams can use microscopes and skull models available in the Main Reading Room.
