San Raffaele Pisana Research Institute, Italy

The San Raffaele Hospital was the first private hospital established in Italy in 1971. In 1972 it was granted by the Italian Ministry of Health the status of “Research Hospital”, with a main focus on diabetes and metabolic diseases.

In 1992 a new building was opened to accommodate the Department of Biotechnology (Di.Bi.T.1). The initial areas of research covered by Di.Bi.T.1 were genetics, cell biology and immunology while in the late 90’s gene therapy, stem cell biology and molecular mechanisms of diseases were added.

Shrimati Hansa Mehta Library, the University Library of M S University of Baroda was established on May1, 1950. At the time of establishment of the M. S. University of Baroda, a collection of 25,000 books belonging to the two State Libraries (Huzur Political Office and Secretariat Library) was handed over to the University Library. There were several colleges in Baroda – Baroda College (for Arts), Science Institute, Commerce College, and Secondary Teacher’s Training College etc. These colleges had libraries of their own. These libraries continued to remain as Faculty Libraries and were administered independently. Thus the University Library System was established on 1-5-1950, which was housed in the central block of Old Residency Office.

University of Camerino

The University of Camerino is a university located in Camerino, Italy. About The University: Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine was established in 1872 (5th year of the Meiji Era) and is one of the oldest prefectural/municipal medical universities in Japan with a history spanning 140 years. As a result of the Japanese educational reforms of 1952, the facilities officially became known as Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine.
